UCF Athletics Association, Inc. - DIRECTOR FOR BUSINESS AND FINANCE

UCF Athletics Association, Inc., a direct support organization to administrate, promote and finance the intercollegiate athletics program at the University of Central Florida, a NCAA Division I institution and a member of Conference USA, is seeking applications for the position of Director for Business and Finance.

UCF is in the midst of constructing over $300 million worth of capital projects on its campus that feature state-of-the-art facilities including: a 45,000 seat on-campus football stadium and a 10,000 seat convocation center housing our men's and women's basketball programs. Both are scheduled to open in the fall of 2007. Other athletic facilities include a recently opened softball complex, construction of a boathouse for the women's rowing program and a men's and women's soccer complex. These facilities are part of the master plan which has already seen completion of the only indoor football practice facility in the State of Florida and a new facility housing strength & conditioning, sports medicine, and football. This campaign is a reflection of the University's continued growth, with an expected student enrollment of over 50,000 by 2010.

The Director for Business and Finance will assist the Assistant Athletics Director for Business and Finance with the coordination, guidance, direction and supervision of UCFAA, Inc. Business Office. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the athletics business office including, but not limited to: supervision of business office staff; coordination of annual audit; preparation of applicable reports, schedules, statements and forms for the UCFAA, Inc. on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis; analysis of all expenses and revenues; monthly reconciliation and review of all budgets; preparation of journal entries; verification of funds available for expenditures; and coordination of year-end closing.

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Demonstrated supervisory experience of an intercollegiate athletics or not-for-profit business office preferred. As a UCFAA, Inc. staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to UCFAA programs.
