C-USA IN THE TEXAS BOWL
2007  TCU 20, Houston 13

Conference USA will be a part of the Texas Bowl in Houston for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Operated by Lone Star Sports & Entertainment, the bowl is played at the state-of-the-art Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL's Houston Texans. C-USA will face an opponent from the Big 12 Conference in the bowl. Last year, Houston faced old C-USA and Southwest Conference rival TCU in the game, falling 20-13. In the inaugural Texas Bowl in 2006, nationally-ranked Rutgers defeated Kansas State, 37-10, in front of a crowd of 52,210, the largest crowd to watch a bowl game in Houston not involving a Texas team since 1972.
