Reed made an immediate impact for the Lady Eagles women's basketball team with an outstanding first season. She has started every game of her career. As a freshman, she averaged 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and led the team in scoring. She was named to the C-USA second team all-conference team, the all-freshman team, and was also named Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Year. She received the team's Lady Eagle Award, as well as, the team's Free Throw Percentage Award. She was also named a National Strength and Conditioning All-American for her work-ethic, attendance, and strength.

Reed is explained by her coach and teammates as a leader by example who strides for perfection everyday on and off the court. She received the Conference USA Academic Medal and was on the President's list two times. She maintained an acculmative GPA of 3.69. She is also very active in community service and is involved with the Real Winners Read Program, several elementary and middle speaking engagements, and the Christian Services Soup kitchen. She is a great student-athlete and role model to all.
